GIANNI SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Our mission is to give a new spin to related topics of the liberal arts by publishing works that provoke thought and encourage a response. We strive to take the discussion outside the classroom. We are looking for active readers with a bent for satire and seriousness, writers and poets from the Eastern and Western traditions that can provide Santa Fe and Annapolis with a bold twist to the conventional subjects of liberal education. Be snobby… We triple-dog dare you.
We accept a diverse variety of works, from a playful 14 line ode to Milwaukee's Best to a 2000 word essay on why Jesus declared it a sin to look at a woman with lust. You should know that we place more value on a work that expresses a non-mainstream idea than on the genre itself. In other words, the genre which expresses an idea and provokes reader response is the best genre. We like humorous skits, political editorials, sappy poetry, scholarly articles, interviews, amusing short stories, and of course, art and photography.
