Sworn into office in 2005, U.S. Army Colonel Michael Peters is St. John’s College Santa Fe’s sixth president. Considering this age of uncertainty involving terrorism and existentialism, President Peter’s watchful eye has maintained 1160 Camino Cruz Blanca’s safety, security and intellectual pretense.

As Executive Vice-President of an organization which has been called the most powerful agent of the United State’s foreign policy outside the State Department, President Peters served the Council on Foreign Relations from 1995 to 2005. During this decade of research and leadership, he offered his extensive knowledge of peace and conflict as a country witnessed unprecedented economic prosperity, a September 11th attack, followed by a declaration of war in the Middle East.
